Spring Hockey is coming back to Campbell River for its 3rd year!! Next Level Training is putting on another
Spring Hockey Development Season for 2019 - with the Broadstreet Bulldogs! After a great 2018 spring run
we are excited to offer our Spring Development Teams again this year. Our spring hockey is sponsored by
Broadstreet Properties and we are so grateful for the support of this wonderful company
here in Campbell River.
2019 Spring teams:
1- 2006 team (body contact) (roster full)
2- 2006 team (roster full)
The programs main focus is Player Development as opposed to just playing games. Teaching skill
development thru well-organized practices that will focus on areas such as speed, agility, edgework,
overspeed skating, linear skating, puck protection, quick release shooting, passing and shooting in stride.
Our mission is to empower kids to understand all parts of the game while maximizing growth and skill
level. Attention to details and good habits will be stressed throughout every ice time! These are the
prime years in player development and we would like to make the most of every ice time!
To achieve maximum growth, we will be practicing just a little outside of each players comfort zone thru parts of practice and always in a progressive challenging environment. Each team will have over 25 hours of on ice development, challenging each player with an opportunity to enhance their fundamental skills in a positive learning environment.
There will be 18 to 20 players and 2 goalies per team, giving the players lots of opportunity to work on a variety of different skills while maximizing repetitions. This will ensure individual skill development for every player throughout the program. This Spring Hockey experience is going to offer a unique way to improve and enhance your childs skills thru detailed full speed practices, where every practice has specific goals to teach and push players to be better than they were the week before. Speed, skill and detailed progression will be a major priority.
The program is designed to get the most development out of every player.
Some teams will be playing exhibition games and a tournament while all teams will have Small Area Game days. Our focus will be providing the teams with a stress free and fun environment. We will be doing this twice with each group throughout the program.
The Program will run from March 26th to May 14th, allowing plenty of time for summer sports!
**There will be no tryout for the program and we will be taking the first 18-20 players and 2 goalies to
register. This will be a competitive learning environment.
